Holy moly-we're really doing this!

Well, it's official-the wedding is set for October 7th! Eeek!

I tried on my first wedding dresses today! Crazy!

And I may have found it. Maybe. Were going to another place tomorrow, but I did put a deposit to hold a dress that I tried on today-it wasn't what I thought I wanted, but Matt's cousin picked it out and I loved it!

We're going to check out another store tomorrow to see if they have anything similar (because the place we went to today didn't have anything else like it), because my sister liked it, but just wasn't sure that it was THE dress.

Wish us luck!

In other news, we're trying to find a honeymoon destination. We're thinking something tropical, possibly all inclusive, and fairly reasonable flights.

Ideas?

We've been looking on Groupon and LivingSocial, but the airfare is killing us!

Oh, and did you catch my guest blog post over at Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher? (I'd link up, but my phone wont let me!) Amber was cool enough to let me guest blog today-head over there to hear about all of the wedding planning that we've done in the last week and you can pick up a freebie that you might have missed the first time I offered it!

  1. We went to Riviera Maya Cancun. We stayed at the excellence resort and it was all inclusive. I loved it! I'm sure in the fall prices will be cheaper than summer time anyway.

  2. Try www.cheapcaribbean.com. We just got back from an all inclusive vacation in Jamaica & it was wonderful. They have many different destinations available like Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, you name it. I thought they were very reasonable. :) Good luck!

  3. Congrats on everything! Enjoy the engagement era --- it goes by so quickly! As far as places to go --- Aruba! We went to Aruba for less than it would have cost to go to Hawaii, or anywhere else. Plus, it is outside of the 'hurricane belt' which made me feel better. :) We ended up going with an expedia trip because that was cheapest. Good luck! :)

  4. A cruise might be great, too! Good luck on all the wedding planning stuff- you're planning it SOON! :) I was doing that last year, so I know how much there is to get done, but it will turn out wonderful.

  7. I just found your blog through the Spotlight feature! Congrats on your engagement!!! I was married on October 5th (- ten years this fall!). The Thursday before was Open House and I took Friday and Monday off. We went on a short trip to Niagra Falls Sunday and Monday - we are a couple hours away. I was also doing grad work and skipped a class for the wedding. It was crazy, but flew by so quickly. Enjoy the planning and have fun!
